I give any book a chance, but there have come times when I realize I'm not getting anything out of it - or worse: I don't care what happens next. THAT tells me it's time to put it down and move on. There are so many good books out there to read, whether they're classics or biographies (I love...
I just finished my first Dorothy L Sayers book: Strong Poison. No review here...just saying that I really enjoyed it. Of course it might be because I love Sherlock Holmes, too...and like the whodunnit to be a fun and interesting read.

What I hate most about writing is after coming up with a great idea...running with it (I'm a SOTP writer) I get to the sagging middle...and stay stuck.
Which is why, over the past years, I've written nothing but non fiction articles.:lol:
I love my Nook. I've had it for 3 months or so.
I asked several people what they had, saw a Sony ereader in person, and decided on the Nook. A big part of it was the disappearing screen on the bottom so there are no distractions next to the page you're reading.
