I got your PM and replied back... Hope to snag these soon as give not only a review on amazon, but a review here also for other members to check out :)
Ahhh ok. I was confused :) Yea, I can understand that. I posted a poll last week about real books vs ebooks heh. Had some pretty good discussions going
Both sound interesting and I'd like to give it a shot :) Let me know if ya want. I warn you now though, that I do give "Honest" reviews. If the books are good then I will give a good review, but if they are lacking then I have to say the truth :) But just from looking over the amazon pages I...
I voted for The Immortal Life Of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot just because Ive never heard of it and it peeked my interest just by the name alone lol
Yea, a lot of people seem to snag an other device and just use the "Kindle App" rather then actually just buying a Kindle. Which is fine and sometimes even works out better :)
Hmmm very awesome and interesting article. See what happens when a big corporation pisses off the little guy? Is amazon gonna take a huge loss? No, prolly not. But the principal alone is beast :) What is more people did this by example. Hundreds or Thousands of people doing this... then...
I don't normally start topics on books but this series is amazing and I want to share. Not a lot of people even know about this medium of fiction so I don't even have anyone to chat about with it. Issue 3 came out at the start of June and I had a chance to read it this past weekend while I was...
Hmmm.. Never heard of this book before. I have to admit it does catch my eye. As a boy, I always wanted to join the FBI or the CIA so I kinda have a secret love for stories relevant to it. Might have to check this out :)
Love it... no words can express how much I love it. All of them. The tv series is super awesome. I want action figures made next! Or statues! It's just such a great series it's unreal :) I would give it a 10 star rating
Not to double post, but I did finish Ab Lincoln last night and it was actually pretty good over all. I'm sure I will enjoy the movie, but we shall see. Gonna snag Swing Zone tomorrow, then have family fun this weekend so prolly won't get to read much :(
Aye, very true. Sometimes the prices are like a dollar less then the hard cover. I do agree it is nice to have them at your fingertips instead of having to wait for them to come in the mail, or when in a lazy mood drive to the store.
I started the Ab Lincoln Vampire Hunter book just because the plot seems interesting. I am getting prepared for the "Swing Zone" Issue 3 release in June though. #Pumped!
So the Holiday Weekend is now over, and hope everyone had fun with your families. Whether you were at a picnic, or just at home, did anyone have some spare time to do some reading? and if so, what did ya read, or finish reading?
Hahaha, I was  when reading that. But yes, I do agree, some self publishing ebook authors do need some better editing skills. I read one ebook (which will remain unnamed) that was just bad... I mean bad. Grammar errors and even some spelling errors. There/Their combo mix up etc. But it...
Some more great points guys :) I still, myself, will go to the library once in awhile and just browse around for books that might peek my interest. But here's another question. What about the stories (mainly self published) that you can only get in ebook form? Now that ebooks are around...
Very true :D
Another advantage of ebooks that I forgot to mention is that you can have 3000+ in your online library and not literally have to build a library to hold all of those tangible books hah
I do have a ton of hard bound books, but not so many that I have a problem storing them.
All valid points so far :) I asked my mother (who is older, and doesn't really even understand what an ebook is) She kinda laughed at me and said that she wouldn't give up tangible books for as long as she could see. I tried to somewhat explain to her what an ebook is, but she didn't care...
