Well the game could have been better but it was entertaining. Italy were by far the better team during the first half but were very poor after half time. Cannavaro played well as did Zidane and Materazzi. Malouda irritated the hell out of me - I swear he spent more time on the floor than he did...
Eh? £23 is more like $42 - I would be more than happy to cash in some of my Dollars if I got as good an exchange rate as you just quoted :p
We pay £30 per month for our connection. Our line isn't the greatest so we can only have 512Kb (even though we pay for a 2Mb line).
A couple that come to mind are Bernard Cornwell's Grail Quest and Saxon series. Part of Crichton's Timeline is also set around this period.
Below is a link to a page that has several suggestions which you may be interested in

I can program but I don't particularly enjoy it. The languages I know are C, C++ (about as modern as I get ;) ), Delphi, Pascal and Miranda (there probably are more but I haven't done any programming for a few years now, well not since you aren't counting HTML :D )
Thanks for that link...
Ok here are the links:
Engineering Mathematics - K. A. Stroud
Advanced Engineering Mathematics - K. A. Stroud
The two I had were:
Further Engineering Mathematics - K. A. Stroud and also Engineering Mathematics by K. A. Stroud - I can't find a link to the exact copy I had (it was...
No - not Fourier and Laplace transforms  I thought I had seen the back of those several years ago ;)
Ok, the books I had were Engineering Mathematics and Further Engineering Mathematics by Stroud. He also has a fairly decent book on Laplace transforms in print.
Schaum do a relatively...
Another series that has just come to mind is Jean Auel's Earth's Children series. In the third book, The Mammoth Hunters, Ayla kills a lone wolf only to find that she was nursing cubs. She tracked down the den and found one surviving cub which she adopted. Wolf is also mentioned throughout the...
Two that come to mind (that haven't already been mentioned) are The Loop by Nicholas Evans and The Sight by David Clement-Davies. The latter is written from the perspective of the Wolves themselves and with a younger audience in mind but is an enjoyable read nonetheless.
The following two threads contain some good suggestions to get you started:
Anyone a fan of anime?
Favorite Manga of all time
Even though the second one is a Manga thread, there are still several Anime recommendations on there.
HTH :)
Robben really frustrates me - he has the talent to be an excellent player (and is when he puts his mind to it) but he is also one of the biggest cheats in the game and I cannot stand that!
That is what I thought, hardly makes it fair though. Costinha was an idiot - I agreed with Gullits...
Dear God! Did anyone just watch the Holland vs Portugal game? The ref was an absolute nightmare  He equalled the record number of yellow cards in a game (16) and broke the record for the number of red cards issued in a World Cup game (4). I felt sorry for Deco, being dismissed for...
