    Vikas Swarup: Q & A

    There are a lot of differences. It's like they have taken the skeleton of the book and constructed a whole new story out of it. the soul is there, but the body is different. a friend raved about the book, so i'm thinking of reading it, but i would be glad for more reviews.

    Book Names

    I was just going through Orson Scott Card's website and he had this to say about naming characters: "I choose names that will either suggest by sound or meaning something about a character" I guess this is true for most well-known authors

    Recommendations for fantasy series

    I recently finished Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy and while I am not too ecstatic about the books, I would like to read some more stuff in the same vein. I've already read the standard fantasy starters: Harry Potter, Inheritance cycle, a couple of the Earthsea novels. Any suggestions?

    i really liked Golden Compass, all the right pace and everything, but found Subtle Knife really slow. in comparison, Amber Spyglass was way too crammed with stuff. i thought he should have split it into two books.

    Who is your favourite author, and why?

    Well, right now I am totally in love with Khaled Hosseini's writing, but P.G.Wodehouse is an eternal favorite.
