When I first read it I had three seperate versions, so I treated it as three books. Then I read a bit about Tolkien and found out that it was intended as one book. I've considered it that way since.
One thing I like about Rowling is that she includes the good side of things, but also the bad side. Kids still get picked on and there's a good and bad side to everyone. Even characters like Dumbledore have their flaws.
Is Snape a half-blood, though?
I think the American cover is the best, but I still like the UK versions (even the kid's version). I think the Advanced Potions book means Harry got into the class. And I think the thing in the American version is a Peinsive(sp?).
I actually haven't gotten around to reading those series yet. I know I have them in my closet somewhere, but I have a lot of reading to do right now. I'll read them some time soon.
I think people can change their ways. With some things it will be harder than others, this being one of the hardest, but it is possible. I think she should go into counselling and have someone she cares about constantly around her.

I really like that style of writing. Fantasy and mythology are my favorite types. I have a ton of books by authors like David Eddings, Terry Brooks, Flavia Bojur, and Christopher Paolini (although the latter two only have one book out). I love Harry Potter, although it is dragging on a bit. It's...
My favorite race would have to be Hobbits. They care for everyone and they enjoy life. Their biggest flaw is not wanting to have anything to do with anyone around them. Of course their addiction to ale and smoking comes next!
