I'm not sure how many listens it takes. Usually I listen straight through once and then a few songs stand out. Then I go back and listen to those songs again, and again, and again. Then I listen to the other songs again.
Not to beat a dead horse, but in light of what has been going on at other forums, how will it be known whether members are breaking the "no sending links to other forums via pm" rule? Will our private messages be monitored, or will the admin/mods just be made aware if someone reports such a pm...
I participate in three book forums. Actually, I only found my way here after joining first one site, getting an invite on that site to another site, and then finally hearing about BAR from the second site. If I hadn't been invited to multiple forums, I probably wouldn't have found this forum...
In some ways it does. If I'm trying to learn about the time period and some things in the book are inaccurate, it takes away from my enjoyment a lot. If I know that the book is inaccurate going into it, though, then I just approach it like any other fiction and it doesn't bother me too much.

I don't like it when an author keeps repeating the same phrases over and over throughout the book.
Also, when authors give their characters really stupid or ridiculous to pronounce names.
Oh, I thought you did
Either way, I think there's a bit of a difference between the books you mentioned and the ones I, and I believe the OP, was referring to. There's also a big difference when considering the general reasons why each are read and what is most often taken away from each. I...
I disliked it primarily because I dislike Elizabeth Wurtzel. I find her to be self-absorbed (the girl had what, three memoirs before she was how old? Thirty? Thirty five?). I also thought she portrayed depression in an irresponsible way and the field of psychology in an inaccurate manner. Not...
Seems like this is a popular subject among many books/movies geared toward women. The Lifetime channel is filled with crap like this. My boyfriend's mother devours these kinds of books. It's really pathetic. I have a pretty low opinion of these types of books/movies, as well as of the women who...
