    Married again

Isn't that so sweet? How romantic. Maybe she'll kill him this time around. Nah, she'd want his money, so she'd hire someone else to do it for her.

Predjudice, or Standing on one's Personal Belief?

Society will, eventually, just like it has accepted other things. It's just not moving fast enough for some people.

Predjudice, or Standing on one's Personal Belief?

Amen, brother! Would anyone here be discussing a movie theater owner's decision not to show a movie with explicit heterosexual sex, such as "Brown Bunny"? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0330099/ I think not. Homosexuality is a hot button and any appearance of disapproval is sure to generate a...

Predjudice, or Standing on one's Personal Belief?

I just want to make it clear that I wasn't talking about myself specifically. People can be uncomfortable with the homosexuality and still love the person. It just takes time to accept, and I hope that most people would come to accept it. Besides, there are other personal issues besides...

Predjudice, or Standing on one's Personal Belief?

Let's face it. There are still a lot of people who are uncomfortable at the thought of homosexuality. I wouldn't call that homophobic. Many of us oldsters were raised with a set of values and morals that are hard to change. It wasn't that long ago that having a baby out of wedlock was enough...

Predjudice, or Standing on one's Personal Belief?

It's Utah. What more can I say? but if you own a theater, you can decide what gets shown. There are quite a few movies I wouldn't show if I owned a theater, and none of them deal with homosexuality. It's a good thing I don't own a theater because nothing would get shown, due to my pickiness...

    Bejewled game

lately I seem to hit the wall after 14,000 or so. But I guess that's the way the game is programmed-if you get to score high all the time, it's not as much fun.

    Would You Fire Me.

I agree that you need a doctor's note to back up what you're saying. I'm wondering that when you listed all your efforts to improve your health, this seems like self-medicating with herbal remedies. It might be time for a physical exam. It sounds like you had a lot of bad luck with so many...

    Bejewled game

I was playing it a few years ago, but my computer then couldn't handle it and I gave it up, when I got my new computer in the early (last) fall, I bought the full version (BJ2 Deluxe) and haven't gone a day without it. A couple weeks ago I checked the statistics and was embarrassed at how many...

James Frey: A Million Little Pieces

I haven't read the book, but it seems to me if you're presenting a book as a memoir and give the impression it's all true, then you have to take the consequences. I can't understand how some people who've written memoirs seem to remember tiny details from when they were four years old or...

do you keep track of the books you read?

some of us aren't spring chickens anymore and have a little trouble remembering. ;)

Let's play "books you'll never see"! Here's mine: Humor in the Works of Thomas Hardy

do you keep track of the books you read?

doesn't everyone keep a list? I used to use a small spiral notebook then I started keeping the list on the computer. Maybe a notebook is best, then you can bring it with you and check it in the bookstore to see if you've already read a book you're looking at.
