So you're the one I can point the Fickle Finger of Blame at! :D I surfed the B&N site and found some interesting-sounding books that I ordered from the library. In the meantime I'm finishing "The Old Wine Shades" by Martha Grimes (one of my favorite authors), which I put down earlier this...
Thanks for the heads-up! The link you gave resulted in a blank page so I looked it up on B&N.com and it sounds like this one was written before the hurricanes. It also sounds a little bit like a rerun of one of his earlier books, but that won't stop me from reading it! :)
ions' posts remind me of that post someone wrote a couple months ago making fun of people who declare they're leaving and keep coming back to see if anyone supports them or begs them to stay.
I agree with harishankar. It would be nice if people stayed on topic, but a lot of times, going...
I'm in a rut right now, I can't find anything I want to read that will hold my attention. I wonder if it's the weather? It's getting nicer out and there are more things to do, but I still wish I had something to read, but on the other hand I don't feel like reading. Is this a disease? and...
I used to love playing badminton, one summer my friend and I would play for literally hours every day. I haven't played it in years, though, I'd take it up again right now if I had someone to play with.
I hate that I have to scroll right to see everything! I hate navibars at the side of the screen.
I guess I'll get used to the color scheme, and it's nice that there are no annoying ads at the top, although I was fascinated how the ads would change depending on what topic I was...
I agree. I used to like SVU but it got too icky for me. I don't care for all the commercials for shows like CSI: Miami/NY/LV, either, we don't need to see all the fake bullet holes and ketchup blood-we see enough every night when we turn on the news. I've been watching lots of Discovery...
Have you considered he has a speech impediment? Instead of punishing him or retraining, you should invest in a speech therapist. You might also want to take him to a psychologist to find out if this speech defect is really an underlying hostility towards you. But for God's sake don't call in...
I just read that yet more plagiarisms have been found in that book. Makes me wonder how much publicity I could get if I took one sentence from each book I've ever read and put them together in one book. I'm sure I've "internalized" more than one book.
I was actually going to ask if he had a video of the surgery, but he was in a big hurry, maybe I'll ask at the next appointment. I'm real curious as to what it looks like inside there. I suppose these days they don't let you take your appendix in a jar of formaldehyde home with you, that's...
I've been working my way down the list of all of Ms. Massey's books. I just cannot get over the consistency of the writing, I haven't come across a stinker yet. (I have two to go). I find the information about Japanese culture fascinating, and Rei's struggle to incorporate her...
anyone watch this show? I've gotten hooked on it. I first wanted to watch it because Dennis Haysbert is in it, he played President Palmer on "24". I like how it's split between the guys and the wives.
