I am a huge Anne Rice fan. I have bought a bunch of her Vampire books and I love them all. I don't know about this new one though I'm not really into reading religious books. But I like her books so I might check it out of the library, but I'm in no hurry for this one.
I am going nuts at the library lately. They are always putting out books on the for sale shelf. I can get paperbacks for 25 cents each. So the spine is cracked that's not a big deal! LOL cheap books!! Last week I got 7 books for a grand total of $1.25...I love it!! And I checked out a bunch...
I finished Knife of Dreams and it was definately one of the better newer books in the series. Winter's Heart is my favorite of the last few years, though. But while KoD was a good book, I'm kind of regretting spending so much money for it. I think I should have waited for the library. Oh well it...
I read the first 8 or so. Is the series finished now?? If so maybe I will pick them up again. But I will have to re-read everything cause I don't remember most of it.
No used book stores won't take over. I love used books stores though I buy a lot of my books from those it's a lot cheaper and sometimes they look good as new! :)
Oh I hate those discount cards!! Everytime I go into Chapters, Coles or Indigo and buy something they're asking me if I want a card. It's just not worth it to pay $20 for a card to save a measly 10%. It doesn't save that much. UGH.
I so agree!!! Books have far better value. It's way too much money to go to a 2 hour(or less) movie and the popcorn and drinks are so expensive there it's ridiculous. I'd rather buy a book,(or go to the library ;) ) and most movies are based on books anyways so books are better!!! I did go see...
I buy them around once a month. It is mostly used or from the library sale or discounted books as brand new books are getting much too expensive. But I do buy those too lol.
OMG...how do you manage to read 95 books and the year is not even over yet  I am on my 50th. Hard to believe I read even that much but I did!! LOL
Our libraries in Edmonton are great too. Really, I wouldn't need to ever buy a book at all, but I like having a big book collection at home. I have a tall book case and it's not quite full yet, so more to buy!!! Anyways, we get the books for 3 weeks plus 2 renewals if there's no holds for it. No...
The library is great. I pay $8 a year for my card and I can read whatever I want. Good deal!! So mostly I go to the library unless I feel like buying a bunch of books which I did recently, but then I'm still going to the library anyways. Gee, sometimes I wonder why I bother buying books at all...
I am currently reading 1st To Die by James Patterson. I love it!!! That's the first book by him that I ever read. I will for sure read the rest in the series and then try out his other books too.
OK I confess I am an addict!! Even when I'm not reading books I'm thinking about books. Which books I want to buy or read. And I spend loads of time looking on the library website for books to read....that's hours of fun!! LOL I was an avid reader by around grade 2. I read and read and never...
I bought even more books! The stores around here are having a buy 3 get 1 free deal so I HAD to!!! ;) I am collecting the Janet Evanovich books so I got One For The Money, Three To Get Deadly and Ten Big Ones, and then I got Blue Moon by Laurell K Hamilton(it was free!!)cause I'm reading that...
