I'm fluent in English and French. I have a very basic understanding of Spanish, and I'm struggling to learn Chinese at the moment.

    Literary Christmas Traditions

It's a relatively new tradition, but the last couple years I've read and re-read David Baldacci's The Christmas Train. I think I'm going to add Grisham's Skipping Christmas to the list, it's a wonderful little story!

    Fantasty genre dead?

I agree a lot modern fantasy novels can get a little tedious. My biggest pet peeve is the plethora of character names that no one can pronounce. Of course it would be even worse if fantasy characters were named Suzie or Jim... As mentioned by others above, there are other types of fantasy out...

    Michael Ende: The Neverending Story

The first movie is fun, but the sequels are a waste of film. I loved the book, it really inspires ones imagination!

Besides Reading what other hobbies do you have????

I collect coins from other countries. It's a slow hobby since I've only been outside of Canada twice, and only as far as Michigan. I dabble in writing, cooking & baking, and I knit when I can find the time.

The Chronicles of Narnia or LOTR

I've read the chronicles of Narnia many times, in various orders. I feel the best way to read them is in the order they were written. The books seem to flow better than way. I'm not sure it's fair to ask which series is better... I've always felt The Chronicles of Narnia are for a younger...

Poll: How old is the average reader on this Forum?

I'm 22 and don't read nearly as much as I used to, or would like to. It's so hard to find the time now that I'm all grown up and have responsibilities.

Wearing tights in winter - can somebody explain me this?

Knee-high boots can help, but they're not really my thing. My short skirts hibernate for the winter.
