The first one, I believe it's called Rusty Nail, is the only one in the series that I haven't read. The other books make reference to the Gingerbread Man. I'm still trying to find it at my local book stores. If not, then I'll order it online.

At the bookstore I usually shop at, the employees always have something that they can suggest to me. I find that more helpful than taking my chance purchasing online, unless I already know the author.
If you're a first-time author, you're safe with 75,000-80,000 words. You don't want to write more than that until you're a better known author with a bigger author's platform.

I finished Along came A Spider, by James Patterson. Excellent book. Unforgettable villain. I've moved onto the second in the Alex Cross series, Kiss The Girls. Has me hooked.
