I loved the "Babysitters' Club" books! They were written by Ann M. Martin. I remember always waiting impatiently for the next one to come out.
Some other greats are "Are you there God, It's Me Margaret", "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing", "Otherwise Known as Sheila the Great", and...
I can't tell if you are being genuine or sarcastic. The description you give would make me want to throw the book against the wall, but then you go on to say that you are enjoying it. I read Wolves. It was my least favorite from the Dark Tower Series, but, I didn't hate it. But, read this...
You stole mine. :D
I love Sydney Carton.
Also, Denny from Chuck Palahniuk's Choke. And, Victor Mancini, why not?
Idabel from Capote's Other Voices, Other Rooms, Guy Montag from Farenheit 451, Jack Sawyer and Wolf, both from King and Straub's The Talisman.
There are too many, but...
i use the word "aye" sometimes instead of yes (of course, it depends on who I am speaking to.) Every once in a while, much to my boyfriend's displeasure, I will say "ayuh".
also, i have several female pets and sometimes when i talk to them i call them "lassie" in an irish accent.

i am indeed a fan. i could easily forgive any shortcomings the film might have. Does it get any better than The Royal Tennenbaums? I mean, come on! Wes Anderson is a genius. And, as we both agree, Bill Murray ROCKS. I can't believe I didn't see The Life Aquatic in the theatre.
i just read...
i watched In Good Company. it was kinda cute.
i tried to watch Intermission, but, my boyfriend kept pointing out all the things that he would have done differently. Did i miss out on a good film?
desperately trying to get a hold of The Life Aquatic from the video store. It's never...
Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut
I will need to reread this, well, a lot more times in order to get everything out of it. It is so layered, and beautifully done at that. I think I'm in love.
i bet you didn't miss anything. i was completely baffled by this film. i enjoyed it regardless. i loved that little creepy man. "i'm in your house right now." music was awesome, too.
I just now heard about a book called The Burn Journals by Brent Runyon. He describes several attempts at suicide and a rather gruesome attempt to kill himself by fire. I think the paperback will be coming out very soon. I haven't read it, but I just heard a bit of it read on national public...
I'm almost finished and I am delirious from it. Truly, I was walking around my front yard unaware of the pollen and silkworms drifting all around me. Just pacing back and forth with the book opened in my hands while the traffic swooshed and neighbors' dogs barked. I'm going back.
Thanks for the detailed response. My boyfriend wouldn't watch the new one because he was afraid it would taint the original for him. Should I tell him not to worry?
