That's a relief! :) I was afraid you were afraid to hurt my feelings...
Usually, when I write a review, I tend to avoid an in-depth synopsis---mainly because I fear spoiling anything. Instead, I try to convey my overall impression of the piece, commenting in broad strokes (plot, dialogue...
Ian Fleming, who wrote a particular series of novels from 1953 thru 1964...
Why? Because he brought a newspaperman's briskly ironic craftsmanship to the realm of escapist adventure fiction. Because, like the pro he was, he cranked out a novel every winter, which he spent in Jamaica, at his...
Finishing can be tough...but if you've done your prep correctly, have a good skeleton to hang your meat on (the outline), and enjoy the process, it comes naturally. Just like dying... :whistling:
You are SO RIGHT about publishing...and especially networking, which is the key---and the road...
What I hate most about writing? Nothing. Except it's very hard to make a living writing what you want to write...

I'd have to say no. As with music or film artists, I can't restrict my enjoyment of books to only writers with whom I agree politically. Hunter S. Thompson is one of my favorite writers of all time---he was just unhinged---but I agree with very few of his assertions.
Poirot is the only Agatha Christie hero I can read again and again...ironically, my favorites are the first and last Poirot stories, respectively: The Mysterious Affair At Styles, and Curtain.
Thanks very much for the welcome into your great community here. I'd like to share a sample of my book...an excerpt from my first chapter. I hope you enjoy it.
1: Fumble-Foot
The stranger took Oscar Jade by surprise—that was the worst part. Worse, even, than the white-hot pain as Jade...
