Book about man falling in love with woman he's read about?

Hello, does anyone know of a book that’s the basis of the song The Woods by Husky? I think it’s by a Japanese author and is about a guy falling in love with this woman he has read about and they meet in his dreams. Thanks in advanced!

Books about music history in the last 100 years.

So I'm looking for a book, novel preferably, on the history of music in the last 100 years of so. I really would like one to talk about genres and bands who influenced others and so on. Sorta like this picture. Thanks.

    Current Non-Fiction reads

I'm currently reading A Sense of The World by Jason Roberts. It's a biography of James Holman, a blind man in the 19th century who traveled the world. It's great so far!

    Last seen...

Perfume: The Story Of A Murderer. I literally just watched this a few hours ago. The book is one of my favourites, so once I head that there was a movie, I went on a quest to find it. It's a very good movie. And though it's different from the book, it has the same essence of the novel. The...

Books set in the 18/19th century..

Do you have any recommendations of books set in those times? I've read quite a few from 'round then like Dracula, Frankenstein, The Picture of Dorian Grey, Wuthering Heights etc. But my favourite is Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind which was written in the 80's (I think)...

Seeing a film, then in retrospect, reading the book

Well I've only got into the Harry Potter fandom lately (great time eh?) I loved the movies as a kid, but never was really motivated to read the books. But now at least I'll be able to watch the last movie and know what will happen :)
