Believe it or not, I have over 5000 fictional paperbacks and 1500 reference books in my personal 'library'. I do a lot of reading, and when I like a book, I keep it. I really do worry that 3500 isn't going to be enough. lol
Read to them and read yourself while they're around. Take them to the local library or the book store and let them pick something that interests them. Never under-estimate the power of a bowl of popcorn and story hour before bed.
Depends on what I'm reading. Amanda Quick and Judith McNaught are my favorite romance authors because of their quick wit and funny but realistic styles of writing (if there has to be a 200 page misunderstanding, at least it's a believable one). Barbara Hambly in fantasy because I like how she...
Hi, Steve! Welcome aboard. Kindles seem to be where literature is going these days. I'll admit, I've been waffling on whether or not to get one. I really like the feel of a paperback in my hands, but there are a lot of good (it seems) indie books out there that just aren't available in other...

Thank you for the...
Tolkien all the way
For me, it's JRR Tolkien all the way. My father had the books and would read them to us, every Saturday over a big bowl of popcorn, and woe be to she who stole the book from his nightstand and pilfered herself off to sit in a quiet closet and try to skip ahead of the rest...
I have not read this book in years. I'm off to dig it out of the bookshelves, dust it of and have a go. I remember thinking it quite funny when I first read it, so it'll be interesting to see if my tastes remain the same. :)
Hello, from the Middle of Nowhere, located in Kansas (you knew it would be). Looking forward to BOTM and reading something--anything--that I didn't have to first write and then edit half unto death.
