I read column in the Sunday papers a few months back, but not sure if this is going to happen. Hope it doesn't make Ottakar's hardbacks more pricey with new management. I shop for my kid's books there, be buggered if it did.
Anyone here know the latest?
Have you ever tried reading Bram Stoker's Dracula? Oh, such a sleepy, sleepy read. A total classic with such cosy descriptions of Transylvanian forests and sleepy villages of the olden times, etc. I have it in large print and I always find it such a great bedtime read, that few other books can...
I tend to get putoff by such things if I see them more than once or twice - let alone all the time. There are various ways of handling foul language, like f*** or f--k, that some authors I've seen use. Would such a thing work for you?
In adult novels, it's practically impossible to avoid such...
Non-fiction gives you chance to explore the dreams being imagined inside the writer's head which he/she is sharing with you on paper. I sometimes like to get an idea of how a writer is as a person and how he thinks. That can be easier at times, but not so easy at other times :)

Has anyone here read it? Is it worth reading?

Oh you've kinda spoilt it for me by sayin' that. I just ordered that book from my library. But I'll read it anyhow thinking I never read your post - lol.
Careful you don't get accused of pimping that author or her book - lol
I have just started reading Abdul Ahad's First Ark to Alpha Centauri. It's actually not half as bad as what some people here made out - :)
(A competent, if a bit technical, story about a trip to Alpha...
The only nautical thing that springs to mind - that was decent and modern - was Jaws. And that wasn't exactly horror. So, somebody will probaly write something set at sea, soon.
(I might work on that - lol)
I'm looking for a good novel or two that's set in the ocean. On surface or deep underwater. I want lot of mystery and horror. Serpents and other fantasy beasts okay, but give me something modern pls, not classical.
This sounds like the hottest book under the sun. I'm all for the hype, and might give this book a try. Look at the hype online:
