Pretty much, the piccolo is just smaller and more difficult to keep in tune. My band director used to tell us this joke: How do you get two piccolo players to play in tune? ... Shoot one of them! :eek: :D

I think you might be pleasantly surprised. I wouldn't call her stuff chick-lit, at least not in the normal sense. I've only listened to one of her audiobooks (My Sister's Keeper) and although it was heartwrenching, it was very well-written, in my opinion.

I saw The Black Dahlia last Friday. Very dark (of course, what would you expect?) and a little difficult to follow, but the acting was rather good. There were a few parts I wish I'd been warned about beforehand. I'm not very squeamish, but I had to close my eyes a couple of times.
