A teacher reading us Hardy Boys a chapter at a time in grade 4 or 5 is what got me interested in reading. I got my parents to buy me the whole series and read them over and over. I still have them all and grab one every now and then for a quick read.
Yeah, they found a kitten one morning in the book return slot of the library and decided to let it live there. (Not the return slot, but the library). They named it Dewey, after the Dewey Decimal System.

Have to agree with this one. I have not personally read it, but the wife has and said it was pretty darn good - (she really likes the romance type books)
