that is indeed a good list but here's something to consider:
if you've got $100 for barnes and noble, why not try and buy books that you probably wouldn't find or find cheaper in a used book store. i say this because two of the books on your list i just saw in really nice condition at a used...
im 20. been reading off and on since i was a kid. really got into heavy reading (reading one book after the other for long periods of time) when I got to high school. now, whenever the time permits and im not feeling lazy, i enjoy a book or two in a weekend.

I also judge people by what they read.
Like if I see someone reading a Danielle Steel book...I'd turn to my friend and say "Oh hell naw, that b**** is reading that shit? What a waste of her time."
