3rd annual B&R SECRET SANTA

It's that time of year again folks. We've had fun doing this in the past and if you want to see how it was done previously, click here and here.:)

How does it work?

Members PM me their names and addresses, and then I'll mix and match folks up. As a secret santa, you can send books(the usual item) a card, or some other item that perhaps the person would like. You can gather that through reading the person's post history or blog. You can also PM me and I'll ask for you and respond in kind. This helps as well, especially if you want to know if the person already has a given book.

Won't it be expensive?

Not really-I will line you up with geography in mind. I will do my best to make it so that you have someone in your country, or at least, a continent. So, if you live in London, you will not be mailing someone in Singapore.;)

So who wants in?

Starting date to send items is November 1st. This will allow for the goodies to reach their destinations a bit before the holiday rush.

P.S.-Sleepy & dele-I am going off of what you guys posted in an earlier thread, let me know if this is kool and the gang with you.:cool:

Consider your name added. I think you have to send SFG a PM with your address and such.

Now, it's up to SFG to get this thing back on track!
 
I only had two people who were interested in October. That, and I didn't have enough coffee and got cranky.:lol: I guess we have enough to play now.

PM sent to sleepy, dele, and lady for snail mailers. Once I have those, we'll be good to go.

I'm glad to see an interest in this.

Anyone else?.....Bueller?......Bueller?.........Bueller?;)

Okay, we are good to go! Everyone who sent addresses got a message from me as to who they have. I'm still waiting and dele and lady, but they can join in at any time that I receive PMs from them. If you would like me to PM your person to find out what they like to read, just let me know and I'll try and help. Otherwise, check out their post history and you can find some clues there.:) I don't know if we should have a deadline as to when gifts should be sent out, but let's say by January 1st......good 'eh? That way we'll know if anything goes awry, I owuldn't trust sparkchaser as far as i could throw him.:whistling::D

Uh yeah. Having a problem with that. I tried looking up all the posts by the person I have through the option on the member list, or by clicking on their name and using that option in the drop down. Both only produced 20% of the person's posts. Is this something I should be posting in the "Website Feedback, Help & Suggestions" forum? I am reserved to the fact that it might be an operator error, but the same number came up with both options.

Go to the persons profile,click on "statistics" and then you will see "all posts from" so and so.:)
 
Is there a spending limit? I'd like an idea of what everyone else thinks is reasonable.

Odd, is it still not working? If not, visit the "just bought/borrowed" thread and you'll see some good ideas there for your secret santa.
