I just self published my first book and now i'm trying to find out if perhaps i went wrong by putting a gun on thr front cover of the book.
It's a murder mystery that i self published through lulu.com. They were limited on the amounts of front and back cover options that they had and i thought that the one with the gun was the most fitting to the story.
Did i go wrong? A friend told me that he read an article that stated that a gun on the cover was one of the "no-nos."
It's too late for me and i don't want to change it. Infact, i like it and think it fits perfectly. I'm not promoting violence...it's a murder mystery.
Let me knoe what you think. Did i make a big boo-boo?
It's titled "On The Job" By Rolando Russell.

Thanks for your answers.
