A question for a book of mine

I'm currently working on a project of my own, and i have the book focusing on one character, is this a good practice or should i spead it around a bit as it may get borning for readers?

The question you should be asking yourself is whether your character (adn their story) is interesting enough to sustain a full length tale. There are thousands of books that focus on single characters - as long as their story is worth telling, then it may well be that their story is worth reading.

The problem i have is that the main character does not really do that much, but is more an eyewitness of events which are much better than him and anyone else involved in the story.

Then consider removing him and using an omniscient narrator.
