feel strange.

kinda agitated, fidgeted, wandering about, and hollow. anyway. I think i should go to watch tv or start another book.

sorry, guys, this is really spamming.

want to talk with someone, but do not know who is the right person to talk to. :p

i just came on to see if anything was going on. i really should get to bed, but i'm not tired. is your avatar the moon, or a black and white of another groovy planet?

Take care, :)

Hi Crystal!

I like a good whimsical idea. It's better than a splendid one, any day. :D

I've seen the moon through a telescope and it looks great! I could see ann the craters, lumps and bumps throguh it. It was very strange indeed.

Jupiter's cool, but Saturn is really incredible the first time you see the rings through a telescope. Even with some really cheap scopes, you can see the rings.

My brother and I had a cheap scope that we'd only used to look at the moon and for some terrestrial viewing. Then one night I pointed it at Saturn and was awestruck, wondering why we'd never tried it before.

Saturn is defintely cool, but what blows me away about Jupiter is that you can see some of the larger moons orbiting, when they aren't visible to the naked eye. The fact that there are entire planets not visible, and then Viola!, there they are! I guess that's the same concept as the rings, but Jupiter just surprised me more because I wasn't expecting to see the moons.

Yeah, the moons are pretty cool. I remember looking at Jupiter over time, watching the moons move back and forth as they orbit.

The only disappointment is that when you see nebulae through the telescope, they're dim and grey. They're not colorful like in the pictures.

yeah, it's all those fancy filters they use that gives them the fabulous colors.

you and i must have the same sky views - we're in approx. the same location. i'm looking forward to the end of next week - good milky way viewing

Really, that milky way?? will happen this week?! My friends ask me to see the Northern lights this summer. Hope i can be taken away by some UFO, hehe. :D

Take care, & goodnight. :)

just posting to avoid to have "13" posts for too long :p

never been a fan of watching planets, but once i saw a major solar eclipse (well not with my naked eye) and it was pretty cool

as i saw the falling star, I was always wondering where this piece of the sky would go? and often forgot to make my wish.

the Perseid meteor shower will peak on Aug 11th, so from now til the few days afterward you will see more "shooting stars" than normal. i am not sure if this occurs in the skies above the UK, but it is the case in north america
