Advice for the self-published

Poetry houses are great for promoting ficcion, and I always arrive ahead of time to distribute flyers for my book. Other poets put bannanas and rosaries upon the tables, and so I just use those found art objects as a sort of paper weight for my flyers. I would wager that any poetry house would have this sort of provision!

The phrase 'shameless self promotion' doesn't apply to anyone who has a good book. Would Tolstoy have been a shameless self promoter if he had been peddling War and Peace like a paper boy on the corner? Certainly not! Although I imagine he would have looked like a subversive

title

In the case of virtualbookworm, they display books alphabetically under many website headings, so the article A beggining a title gives the book priority.
...In my case, I made use of the article A by naming my book A Day Well Spent, making it appear first under the electronic-books and action headings. Although recently a numeric title has been added to the website, taking priority.
...I highly reccomend this step, because the title does not import much the book's integrity, and so there can be no stern objection to a productive title.
