Hi.

I'm Martin, and I'm currently reading Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code. And I refuse to be ashamed of it, so here I am, proclaiming it for the entire world to hear! If we'd have a rooftop here, I climb it to shout my message from it. But we don't, so this'll have to do.

Power to the people! Me, specifically!

Cheers

Edited for obvious reasons :D

REVOLUTION!

*stands up and speaks to crowd*

I too! liked Da Vinci Code!

*hands out leaflets*

Ummmm... When does all the shooting and stuff start?

 MIND YOUR LANGUAGE - THERE'S CHILDREN PRESENT!

There's no shame in it, just don't be one of those idiots that thinks its real. That just blows me away.

Hang on. It's not the people who read it and end up liking it who are taking this book far too seriously - it's the people who keep criticising this work of fiction that are taking it far, far too seriously.

Cheers

You are absolutely right, Martin. I think that's what I meant to say.

Hey Martin! You don't need to be ashamed of reading the Da Vinci Code (here's (contains spoilers) at least one other highly discerning reader who has). You only need to be ashamed if you like it! :p

Well said, Wabbit. It also reveals in advance that the book is shit.

Oh and even pre-empts the 'snobs' accusation! Why, it's almost as if it were written by a bunch of psychotic albino monks from the future.

I'd really rather you didn't post links to spoilers about a book I'm reading and not lable it as such. And do the shameless plugging in the links-thread - that's what it's there for.

Thank you.

Cheers

Sorry, point taken. But I didn't realise it was a book you were reading!

Here, instead, is a link for a critique of The Da Vinci Code which contains no spoilers and is entirely unPalimpsestian.
