Arg - any ideas - IE explorer problem?

Arg!

Every time I reply to a post, IE explorer comes up and closes down all my active pages - I havn't changed anything since yesterday when it worked fine, and its only on this forum its happening .

Any ideas?

I use Mozilla...you could download a different browser and see if the problem occurs there or not. IE used to give me problems for everything.

You might check for spyware. Go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ and do a virus scan. This will show you if you've got stuff on your system you shouldn't. If that doesn't stop IE from messin' up, holler, and I'll get more suggestions from hubby (he's a PC tech )

I have Spybot installed and ran a check but nothing came up - did a virus check too but that also drew a blank

I had a similar problem, have you just upgraded ZoneAlarm??

If so, it will have reset your settings - check that the cookies are set to low otherwise it wont hold your information in the forum

Hmmmmm, k. I'll ask hubby and see if he's got any ideas for ya. Oh, and because he might wanna know... what version of IE are you using?

Havn't changed anything, settings are on medium but they always have been - and its not logging me out, its crashing the page - i'll see what happens after I 've restarted the machine, it may decide to right itself

it kinda happens to me when i run abc bittorrent client, maybe you have something running on background thats messing with your ie

Ron suggested clearing out your internet temp files and cookies. He's thinkin' maybe a bad cached page, probably java related. Clean house, reboot, and see what happens (providing the reboot alone doesn't fix your problem.)

Thanks I'll clean them out before I log off tonight, and see whats it's like tomorrow - hopefully it'll right itself - my computers forever playing up, then correcting itself
