I read the HHG just two months after his death - afterwards I started looking up info on him. Imagine my surprise.

When I was about 11 or 12 my english teacher recommended I read Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency & I was hooked from there onwards.

I keep meaning to read over his books again, as I haven't read them since my teenage years, but people with his sense of humour so seldom come along it's such a loss when they go.

I think the Dirk Gently books are great. I like those books even better than HHGTTG books
