The other day I saw the blurb for Among Others, by Jo Walton, and it got incredibly hard not to be seduced.

I'm not a fan of Robin Hobb, but when she said:

If you love science fiction and fantasy, if reading it formed your teen years, if you remember the magic you used to do, if you remember the absolute joy of first discovering those books, then read this.

I'm on a constant lookout for the book now. Can't get it out of my head, in fact.

What are book blurbs you have seen that made you buy a book, made you think, made you pissed?

There are only three things I needed to know about this forthcoming book Zone One to become very excited very quickly: (1) It is written by Colson Whitehead; (2) It is about zombies; and (3) Whitehead describes it this way: "If Zone One were three songs that came out between 1977-1992, it would be Wire’s 'Reuters,' Leonard Cohen’s 'The Future' and Joy Division’s 'Decades.'"

Now that's a blurb.
