A few months ago I downloaded onto excel the two top 100 books lists that we've had in the last 10 years. There's a lot of overlap but I think one is just 20th century.
We have this longitudinal project to work our way through all 100! Since we embarked on it we must have found between 15-20 titles in charity shops, which we've snapped up for between 30p and £2. We've already both really enjoyed books we ordinarily wouldn't have looked twice at.
For instance, I loved 'Memoirs of a Geisha' and my wife enjoyed Rosamunde Pilcher's The Shell Seekers.
I just thought i'd share the idea with you. Good project to embark on if you never know what to read next.
