What was the best Book Of The Month since May 2005? (I put May because it only allows upto ten options on the poll...)

I've only actually finished three of these (having abandoned two of them -- perhaps prematurely) and Small Island is still on my TBR list, so maybe I'll just watch. ;)

I have only read Lolita as a book of the month, as I joined this site in December and still haven't started either of this months two BOTMs. I read My Sister's Keeper a while ago, too, but have read no more of these.

I've only read two of the books on the BOTMs.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - J K Rowling
The Shadow of the Wind - Carlos Ruiz Zafon

On my reading list is Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov.

So I think it wouldn't be fear of me to vote in this voting.

I've only read three of them - HP, Lolita, and Small Island because I'm extremely slack :p Out of the ones that I have read, my favourite choice was Small Island. HP was good, but I would have read it anyway, but if Small Island hadn't become BOTM, I might not have read it, which makes it my favourite (if that makes any sense at all)

For me the choice is obvious. Lolita. I only joined in August, and then didn't have internet access courtesy of Hurricane Katrina until December, but I have read some of the BOTM selections. Lolita in my humble opinion has more depth and layering and downright meat on the bone than the others.

There is a small possibility of prejudice in my vote.

I have only read Lolita among the books discussed. But that seems to be a book I am wildly in love with. Maybe I should get out more often, at least among books :)

Erica! Please elaborate. Yawn what? I'm really interested to know what you mean? :) Was that thread/subject totally boring to you? What does "Please Don't bother!" mean?

I'm asking in all sincerity. I'm really, really curious. You don't need to be kind or polite, just please be honest. We're wondering why more people didn't join in what we all considered to be the fun?

Anybody else have any comments?

(Oops. Did I just highjack a thread?)
