The newest form of tripping, much like LSD. Easy to get because for the most part it's completely legal.

Hey Man, wanta know where to buy this stuff?? Looks like it's readily available via the net..I first checked with a couple of reputable herbal companies I have in my favorites, and while they don't carry this variety of salvia, plenty of others do. I also checked two of my herbal books, and found no mention of salvia divinorium, not even as a warning. As with any substance one might choose to ingest, research is vital. This herb sounds scary in the hands of ignorant users, and it seems crazy that's its so readily available.

In the daily search for reasons behind their 17-year-old son's suicide, Dennis and Kathy Chidester keep coming back to the same answer: salvia divinorum.

The herb, a cousin of the flowering sages enjoyed by backyard gardeners, contains the world's most potent natural hallucinogen, as strong as LSD. The drug is legal in most states, including Delaware, and easily available through hundreds of Internet sites, including eBay.

I don't find this scary at all, given that the biggest growth in drug abuse among US kids is in legal, prescribed drugs like Ritalin. That, to me, is way scarier. Varous mushrooms, kava kava, coco leaves, etc. have been around forever and nothing notoriously bad has come of it. Cooking meth from cough medicine is what kills people, and you can buy that on the corner without a prescription.
