How do you spell bollocks? I always assumed it was this way because that's how the Sex Pistols spelled it. Bullocks doesn't look right.
Also, I heard it used as an exclamation in most cases when I lived in London, as in, "Bollocks!" a rough equivalent to "Bullshit!"
Which then makes sense when it's used as a noun, as in, "That's a load of bollocks."
I've heard it also used as a verb. "Don't bollocks this up, lads."
I've seen it spelled also "bollox" but I think this was some intentional illiteracy to yank someone's chain.
Thoughts? I can't find "bollocks" in the UK dictionary I have (Chambers). And "bullock" only appears under "bull" as a castrated bull or ox.
My impression is that loads and loads of wonderful English people use this word all day long in all it's many forms.
