Hi, new to the forum. I am trying to remember the name of a book I read some years ago. About a man shipwrecked on a Mediterranean island. Locals put him on trial for being an athiest and book develops into a discussion of values of local church man and the athiest. Also a sub plot about a girl found having been reared by wolves. I think there might be "Angels" in the title.

I'm pretty sure it's 'Knowledge of Angels' by Jill Paton Walsh.
