Anyone know what is up with the Book of the Month Forum for May? The book is supposed to be My Sister's Keeper, but there isn't a discussion started for it.

Er... mmm.... you know... people had been very busy discussing things that they completely forgot that this is a book forum!
Didn't want to say that, but couldn't stop myself.
Anyway, how did you find the book, mehastings? I can't say anything about it because I haven't read it.

I thought it was OK. It brought up some interesting issues but it just felt like a Lurleen McDaniels saga at times.

I read a couple when I was younger because my Aunt was an English teacher and I was her test audience before she put books in her classroom. They all seem to be about a young girl dying of Leukemia (or something of the sort) whose boyfriend/sibling/best friend loves her sooooooo much. Yuck...
My Sister's Keeper really wasn't as bad as those, but I just didn't really care for it. My mother, on the other hand, just finished it and she thought it was great.
