This is a book I read as a child. It has been published more than 30 years ago. It is by a British or American author, and it is most likely not an obscure title or author (it was translated in Romanian, that's how I read it, and they usually translate a limited number of people, so this book or this author must have been pretty famous.) Here is what I recall:
- First chapter, a woman gives birth to twin brothers. (Winter, on the road, before the term.) One of them dies at birth.
- The rest of the book takes place 25-30 years later. The surviving twin brother is killed during a party in a secluded place.
- I know who the killer is, but I would not disclose it here for obvious reasons. If you need to know that, ask me by email at dcojoc@stanford.edu
Many thanks for your help!
