Book translations into other languages: a question

Now it really got on my nerves. I was googling for longer than an hour, trying to see into which other languages was "A Woman in Berlin" translated, and I could not find such information!

Is there any way to find about every book into which languages it was translated? There must be some database! Somebody should keep the record!

Please, please, help! I am getting obsessed! It is already the third book which gets me stuck like that with uncertanity regarding translation!

Good question. I have wondered that myself.
I checked around and found Unesco's Index Translationum
I was not able to find the title you were looking for but try searching and see if it works for you.

Wow, you are amazing!
Actually it works also for the book that I was looking for. I entered a german name (Eine Frau in Berlin) and this is what it returned.

However, there was probably a bug of some type - it did not return an English translation :D

I heard that it was translated to more than ten languages, and it gave me back only five, though.

However, it is the closest I've ever got to!
THANKS A LOT!

I know there's a Swedish one, too. So I guess that site isn't 100% reliable.

I know that for more well-known books, wikipedia often lists known translations. Obviously, that's not 100% reliable either.

It's tricky because sometimes creative liberties are taken in the translation of a title.

Knowing this always makes me wonder what else have they been creative with. I used to love the song Eres Tu by Mocadeshttp://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZXxrA64K88

When I bought the 45(remember those?) I was shocked to find the B side had some crappy song with the same familiar tune, but lyrics that had absolutely no connection to the Spanish lyrics.
