Books about Gothenburg

I'm visiting Gothenburg, Sweden soon, and I wonder if anyone knows any good books about, or set in, the city. History, fiction, anything: all suggestions welcome!

Hmm, I've tried to come up with something and I'm mostly drawing a blank; most good (translated) Swedish writers seem to write about any city except Gothenburg, for some reason... a few suggestions:

Åke Edwardson's detective novels all take place in Gothenburg. I haven't read them, but he's supposed to be good if you're into that sort of thing, and at least three of them seem to have been translated into English.

Marianne Fredriksson's Simon's Family takes place in Gothenburg during WWII. Haven't read it either, but she's considered one of our best writers and I should really get around to her one of these days.

There's got to be some more, but...

Gothenburg. What a wonderful place. I can't remember reading any books that took place there, but there had to be a ton of them. I don't remember if Nils and his crow saw Gothemburg or not. I don't think they saw any cities, but I might be wrong.

There are plenty of cafes around. Be sure to strictly observe Fika. They will become hostile toward you if you don't. Also, if you get there soon, ask places if they have any semlar (from fettisdag). It's delicious and the almond paste is to murder for.
