Bullying in the Workplace

I am trying to write a book on "Bullying in the Workplace" and would like to get public opinion as to their experiences. Is there anyway of discussing this topic in order to evaluate the severity of this issue as to work performance and stress on the job? I live in Georgia and it is an "at will" state which means that it is employer friendly, so employees can get fired for no reason at all. Unfortunately, some employees are bullied so bad they either decide to leave or are fired for lack of performance. I feel very strongly about this topic and would like to get the public's opinion on the matter. I am 52-years old and because I am confident, experienced and show initiative I have been the target of bullying by other employees and sometimes employers on the job. I would like to finally take a stand by writing a book and opening it up to the public. I am positive other people are experiencing the same repercussions due to more stress on the job that affects their
work performance and family life. I have raised three children of my own and am now raising a stepson who is 18 years old and going off to college. My family life is important to me and having stress on the job due to bullying is not helping the issue. I would like to hear stories from other viewers who are experiencing the same kind of treatment on the job. I would also like to get a SBA Loan or grant to help with the financing on this book. Could you possibly assist me regarding how to acquire the funding needed to proceed?

Thank you so much for your courtesy and cooperation in this regard.

A good place to start would be with academic publications in the human resources and/or organizational psychology fields. I've read news articles from time to time on this subject and the general traits of bullies, and how to address it, has been discussed countless times. Perhaps a review of current literature and a new theory as to how to handle it or to have places *self-moderate* such incidences in the workplace might be interesting to read.

I think that bullying in the workplace stinks. I had a experience years ago when I worked for a company on the West Coast. A person that I did'nt even know was making trouble for me at my place of employment. They had false information and was calling the President of the company at his home and filling his head with lies and sending faxes to the company and callling me at my office and harrassing and threataning me everyday. The company put pressure on me and made it impossible to function at work or at home.I too had a family and children to support. My only recourse was to quit, So I did, and it actually changed my life for the better . I guess that evertything happens for a reason. Now, I am happy and loving life. :)

I'd be interested in hearing from esquire as to how this book is coming along. Anyone know? Bueller?....Bueller?....Bueller?.......Bueller?.....
