Buy or Borrow

What do you all prefer to do. Borrow or buy books? What do you do more of?

I prefer to buy. I haven't borrowed a book in the last year. I like to have the books on my shelf so I can get it if I should ever need it. A bit to expencive to keep on buying books though, so I'll probably have to start borrowing them.

I usually go to the library first and see if they have what I want. I have so many books already that I'm literally tripping over them, so unless I really NEED the book, I try not to buy it. Of course, "need" is subjective...and sometimes I find out that I really can't live without a book, so I buy it anyway. Oh well!
