Stop being so mean. Surely we can help a soul in distress with their homework?

Brief Summary-general plot in a few sentences(do not tell the entire story)

A Room with a View - Jane Austen fights against a corrupt government and is locked away in a mental asylum. Eventually her lawyer, Atticus Finch, is able to prove that she was framed by his neighbour, Edward Rochester, a politician who has been embezzling money from the Queen.

Point of view
The story is told from multiple viewpoints: the lawyer's, the Queen's, Jane's and a small trained monkey who never speaks (obviously) but is a silent witness to many important events.

The monkey represents sharing.

Opression, revolution, urchins, sailing, monkeys.

Alternative history set on Mars, which is colonised by the Victorians in 1712.

Sombre yet angry.

Effects (how did u feel wen u finished the book)
Thirsty.

Discussion of the author's style

Forster was notorious for using small animals as plot devices (see McGuffin the horse-fly in A Passage to India) and would often wear hats to the opera. His flamboyant use of past perfect present nouns can be confusing to new readers.

One of my all-time favs Litany!

I'd have to say Finch was my favorite character, so honest, so noble. So self-sacrificing.

Except for the bit where he killed the pawnbroker and her sister. That was just... mean.

Ahhh, but lest you forget, that was an Honor Killing, makes all the difference, eh?
I found his method of execution especially interesting, death by MMA. Original.
