Can anyone tell me the title?

Hi,

I'm searching for a book possibly by Tom Clancy ( ) which I read a while ago. All I remember of the plot is this:

A man comes across a prostitute who has run away from the people who "control" her and helps to hide her. They find out where she is and then come and kill her and then try to kill the guy too, but fail. The man then hunts down the people who killed her and tries to kill them.

Any help would be really appreciated
