canadian coronation fans...anyone...anyone?

i specify canadian as we are like 6-7 months behind so i don't want to know what's happening. it is all i can do not to go on corrie.net just to cheat. well ok i did look last week and i know tommy dies, but i don't know why and it is killing me. oh gosh, sorry for any canadian fans. oh who am i kidding? i am the only one aren't i? *very deep sad sigh*
 
I didn't know Canada got Coronation Street :eek: I have to admit I do sneak a peek fairly regularly and that has been a major storyline. I won't give the game away though! Unless you want me to of course ;)
 
yes we get it on cbc, primetime no less!!! and we are just at the point where todd has come out and sarah lost the baby. charlie has driven bev away and has shelly fooled. i have to talk myself out of going on line to cheat.
 
my in-laws watch it all the time. father-in-law goes on that website so he knows what's going on now, but my mum-in-law prefers to watch the episodes. when i visit for a cup of coffee, i'm often there when it's on so i know what's going on but i don't quite know the names yet. i respect the show because the actors look like real people.

i felt bad that buddy (dunno his name) couldn't go to his baby boy's funeral. i thought that was a load. i know he is gay and his coming out lead to the baby's death, but that doesn't mean his loss was any less than hers.

i love it for so many reasons. the normal looking people, the fact they work and go to bed and go to the bathroom. and my god all the boozing. it is an excellent show. i am always teased that it is a bit of an old people show, but it has way more sex and scandal than any of the other american type soaps.
 
yeah. the fact that they all have normal jobs is cool. my mum-in-law also watches Y&R. everyone on there has some fantastic career at a cosmetic company or some-such crap. i guess coronation street is reality soap and the rest are fantasy soaps.
