Anyone know of any holidays in the north of England Not the most exciting place. As in the Lake District etc. I wanna go for a few days only but dont have much money
Lol I say cheap, you say dirty I pay my way! I suggested it so i pay my half.
The Lake District is sposed to be lovely and iv never been. Might investigte that.
If your hols aren't already over, catalyst, I can thoroughly recommend the Lake District. Keswick is my favourite (you can easily climb the smaller hills such as Cat Bells or go for the biggies) though I get inspired by Kendal too. I've rambled and cycled all over those hills and around all the lakes - absolutely brilliant. Camped, Youth Hostelled, B&Bs, hotels and apartments - done it all. Taking a 2-man tent on my bike is my favourite - freedom, one-with-nature blah blah.
The Newcastle/Northumbria area is nice. Hit the shops in Newcastle or the Metrocentre in Gateshead, and then for something quieter explore the lovely countryside of Northumbria. Or come to sunny Yorkshire! There's Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington for the traditional seaside holiday (ie seagulls, sand and fish and chips ), and York is a lovely place to visit with loads to do.
The Lake District is absolutely beautiful, although it will probably be busy in the school holiday season. It's also romantic - all those lovely views!
