Cheesy movies

Admit it, you rent them on purpose!. I went to the video store this afternoon and proceeded to check out two movies that are *hot* right now. I then wandered over to an isolated isle and found: Fatal Condition: Bird Flu in America. Evidently, ABC did a t.v. movie on bird flu. I'm not certain how I missed it, but I'm somewhat looking forward to seeing this movie. I even found an interesting FAQ of sorts.

What are your favorite cheesy movies? What recent cheesy movies have you seen?

Well, I'm pretty into the cheesy romantic comedies  I just watched You, Me and Dupree and while my whole family pretty much hated it I laughed through the whole thing. I also like 50 First Dates, The Wedding Singer, A Lot Like Love, and The Lake House. They're nice after a grueling day of school and I need something to relax :)

The Mormon librarian and Tone-Loc's song "wild thing":D :D That is a good cheesy movie, I didn't watch the whole thing but what I did, I enjoyed cheesily. The Wedding Singer is one that I want to own as I grew up in the '80s and I'm a huge Van Halen fan. "Take off the shirt before you curse the band and they break up!.":D :D

In terms of cheesy action, I don't think you can go past "Snakes on a Plane'. My friends and I watched it the other night, man, it was hilarious. I think it must be in Sam Jackson's contract that he must be allowed to say mother------ at least five times per film.

What was even better was the song and accompanying video we found in the special features. We kept saying, "This is a joke, right?" But it's very catchy, and I've been walking around for days singing "Snakes on a Plane: Bring It."

How very sad.

Never saw Snakes on a Plane because I thought it sounded very bad. I sometimes like cheesy romantic comedies, such as 50 First Dates and How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days. The latter was so much better than I thought it was going to be...I also liked Elizabethtown; my best friend has a crush on Orlando Bloom, so I took him to see it for his eighteenth birthday quite a while ago.

You can't forget the main character's song that he sings at the wedding of a couple: Love stinks. Haha, I was cracking up so much :D

I saw Elizabethtown as well and thought it was pretty good. I don't remember it too well now but I know I liked it.

I liked Catwoman too, Fantasy Moon.

My cheesy favorites include the following (keep in mind I'm 24): Ella Enchanted and Sinbad (the Dreamworks film).

The best cheese is musical cheese! We love musicals..Oklahoma, Sound of Music, State Fair-sharp cheese!, Brigadoon, Singing in the Rain,Seven Brides for Seven Brothers..all those are great cheesy fun. With Brigadoon, we get to listen to the kids singing their version of certain songs.."Go home, go home, go home without your jeans!":p

Gotta love catwoman, it was cheesy, though I didn't mind Halle Berry too much.;) Rowwwwwwrrrrrrr!

Seven brides for Seven Brothers-That movie would have some university fem. theorists drop dead on the floor.:p

No kidding! But really, ALL of those old films are so NOT PC anymore. Look closely at the conversation between Marion and the anvil salesman from Oklahoma...

but after repeated viewings of Oklahoma and Seven Brides, but then five year old son told me he wanted to marry a pretty girl he could throw up in the air and catch!:D

LOL-At least he's thinking of the good qualities to look for in marriage.:p

I told my niece when she was 5 that kissing boys will cause her lips to fall off. She went to school and kept her mouth covered with her hand. The teachers wondered if she had a tooth ache or something.;) I'm so cruel, I know.

Are you sure you aren't my dh's long lost brother??? That sounds exactly like something he'd say:p

Singing in the Rain is just a classic - I don't care if its cheesy. I love Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, too. Wow, I haven't watched some of those in years... good times.

I spent some time at a movie rental place yesterday trying to find a good horror movie. Apparently that's practically an oxymoron now. I did find a movie called "The Curse of King Tut's Tomb." I didn't rent it but it looks hilariously bad, especially since I am studying Egyptology and I'm sure they must have gotten every detail wrong. I rented a different movie, but I'm sure it might be fun to go back and get the Tut movie.

Sometimes I watch movies on purpose just because I know they'll be bad. One day my friends and I had a party where we watched three really bad movies. It was a blast, even though we were covering our ears through most of Gigli.
