I just finished Cussler's Valhalla Rising which I enjoyed immensely. Before that, I read Op-Center;Mirror Image by Tom Clancy. I almost didn't buy VR, as I was about to purchase another Clancy book. Luckily for me, I'm a member of this great board and my curiosity was aroused by the good Cussler fans who recommended him to me.

So here's the poll question now that I'm in-between books right now.

Should I read Clancy's Without Remorse or Cussler's Inca Gold?

Here's some info about each book:
-Without Remorse

-Inca Gold

So what do you guys think?

I'm sure you would enjoy either book. By the way, Without Remorse is one of the few Clancy book with a hero other then Jack Ryan.

Cussler, cuz theres history and junk...

Yep, the history part is why he's very interesting IMHO. In VR, he did a great job in outlining the way of life of the Vikings and how interaction between them and the "skraelings"(i.e.-barbarians) would have probably been. There was also mentioning of the Nautilus and he gave a brief history of the submarine, as well as some other things that really impressed me.

I'd say Clancy too. You need a bit of a break between Cussler novels so they don't become so predictable that you know how it'll end after the first chapter.

Besides, you'll appreciate Cussler so much more after reading a Clancy novel. ;)

Went out and bought a good armful of books. I purchased Inca Gold and I couldn't remember the Clancy book that I included in this poll. It turned out that they didn't have it, so I picked up Debt of Honor instead. Looks like I'll have to Amazon Without Remorse to my home.

A very good suggestion, dele. It's always good to space out Cussler novels.
