Clive Barker: Mister B. Gone

I purchased this book not just because I've enjoyed some of Barker's past works, but because of the beautiful cover art. Admittedly that's far from the best reason to buy a book, but hey. I'm glad I wasn't let down by what was contained inside. Contrary to what the synopsis promised the reader, Mister B. Gone isn't really a horror novel. It's a fantastic, wickedly funny, and even sad story of a demon named Jakabok Botch (or Mister B. if you prefer) who tells the reader about his adventures in medieval Europe. To call Mister B. Gone a horror novel is misleading, as the book is so much more than that.

Of course, if anyone has read this as well and disagrees, feel free to respond to this post.

I'm glad you posted this. I'm sure my husband has this book somewhere amongst his treasures. I usually keep away from his bookshelves because I'm not into horror at all, but now I'm really looking forward to reading it!
