Dark Poetry : Two Days To Glory

"All I need is two days. I don't care, I'll stay in the office both Saturday and Sunday to learn it, use it and put it all together first thing on Monday. Hey, I said I had the skill, didn't I?" It's not arrogance, its confidence. Who else would put in the time not once but every day all the time? Everyone can SAY it but I'm the only one who can DO it. No excuses, no wives or babies or pick-headed friends; no ambitions other than to prove that I am indeed superior. I can do what I say I can, and make you like it. I don't need your approval; I don't need your impress. Just give me two days to glory. Two words, 'You're hired.' Ha, the dribble drones and silk ties are amazed by me, such boldness, such brash words, fighting words. The marshmallow puffs were right; I don't want to work with them, share myself as only a cog in the machine. I work best when left alone. I'm not a team player. Does this work to my disadvantage, in 2007, people say yes, but I can still triumph. I won't kneel or cower under the flapping fish lips of political correctness. I stand tall and stand strong.

Keep your prerequisites. Keep your struggles to maintain a healthy order. The totem pole and pale pecking order, I will not fall in line. Not now, not ever. If you think you don't need me, guess again. Keep paying $500 a month. For what, to search databases over and over? Ha, ha it's free for me. You’re all such idiots, but why should I complain. You have the money or don't you? Talk is cheap.

I'm not certain how to describe your writing style, but I do enjoy it.

Keep paying $500 a month. For what, to search databases over and over? Ha, ha it's free for me.

Literal or metaphorical meaning here? Reminds me of the Milton Friedman saying about a free lunch.
