A friend once told me about a novel which I am now trying to find, however I have forgotten the name and unfortunately cannot get in touch with my friend. Please read the brief synopsis of what I think the novel revolves around and shed some light as to which novel this could be and who the author is. Thank you!
Synopsis:
A doctor has to treat a female patient but this is set in a time/place where he is not allowed to see the patient or physically touch her as she must remain covered at all times possibly due to religious practices. The father of the patient is there to enforce these rules and beliefs, however the doctor begins to persuade him that treating the patient with these restrictions in place is too difficult and may cause him to fail. As the story progresses he is able to free himself from some of the restrictions and eventually forms a bond with the patient as the two begin to become more familiar with one another.
