Hi all! I am wondering if anyone remembers reading this book: I think it was written by a guy who was on death row, (or maybe just in prison.) It was a murder/mystery that ended with the words "eenie meenie minie moe, catch a killer by the toe..." I read this book in the early 90's, cannot remember the author or title and it's driving me nuts! Any ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks!!

Hey kkayh, I may be totally wrong, but your description reminded me of Truman Capote's In Cold Blood, written in the 60s (I think) and based on a true story of 2 man who killed an entire family in a small American town. I read the book some time back and can't remember much about it, but the catch phrase you offered just reminded me of it some how.

Hope that helps.

It might be Norman Mailer's protege Jack Henry Abbot who committed a murder when he was a waiter at the Bini Bon, a dive in NYC. Forget the title of his book, but the whole thing got lots of press in the late 80s.

I think Abbott wrote a book called In the Belly of the Beast (a chilling account of prison life), but I doubt that that is the book you are thinking of. I don't know whether or not he wrote any fiction.
