Does Jodi Picoult really answer fan mail ? (birthday present)

Hello everyone,

Everything's in the title. More precisely I want to send her one of my girlfriend's favourite book and have it signed for her birthday. (plus have her write a little something for my girlfriend). On her website it is said that she signs books that are sent to her and can leave an extra personal message but I just wanted to know if people already sent her a book and had it returned signed ? If so, I'd also want to know how long it takes on an average to have an answer in the mailbox ? (not that I am impatient, just to make sure that I'd have it all back before my girlfriend's birthday).

I have no idea, but I would imagine it would work the same as any other celebrity signing pictures etc ... send an SASE (even if it doesn't say to do that) with your book, and wait ... these things usually take a long time.
